UPDATE from Diveworld:

‘The van has been found! Huge thank you to John Clarke and Lynn Hanson for spotting it and letting us know where it is. We have been out to secure it and have informed our insurers and South Yorkshire Police.

‘Big thanks to Dave at VMS, Richard at Holme Lane Motors and All the fab staff in Towsure for trawling through CCTV and pinpointing the time it was taken.

‘Two guys, dressed in black, wearing balaclavas, broke into it at 2.34am and drove off at 2.40am. Black Audi left heading up Wood Road, the van headed off towards Rivelin.

‘Huge, huge thank you to everyone who has shared this post to help us and showing how social media works positively.

‘Fortunately there was nothing in the van! What absolute idiots thought there would be?

‘Considering their skills… Why don’t they go get a job as mechanic somewhere and enhance peoples lives instead of trying to mess up the lives of hardworking self employed people?

‘To say our blood was boiling this morning is an understatement!

‘Looking on the brighter side… we are very grateful for everyone’s help, and look forward to sorting out the repairs and getting it back on the road.’

People are asked to be on the lookout for the Diveworld dive centre van, which was stolen from outside the centre between 8.30pm yesterday (6 February) and 6.30am this morning (7 February).

It is a Citroen Relay, registration YM67 NFF, and is very obviously sign-written all over as can be seen from the photograph.

If anyone sees the van, they are asked to contact Louise Kiyani at Diveworld on 0114 233 2995, or get in touch with the police.
